Travel to the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo
Location
The train stations near the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo are:
- Ueno station on the JR Yamanote line
- Ochanomizu station on the JR Chuo line
- Keisei-Ueno station on the Keisei line
Taking a taxi is the easiest way from these stations.
The nearest subway (Tokyo Metro) stations are:
- Hongo-san-chome on the Marunouchi line and the Oedo line
- Nezu and Yushima on the Chiyoda line
- Todai-mae on the Nanboku line
You can walk to the Hongo campus from these subway stations.
The Faculty of Science Building No. 1 is located behind the clock tower called "Yasuda-koudou."

Travel
From Narita Airport
The most convenient way is to take a Keisei Skyliner from Narita airport. The destination would be the Keisei-Ueno station. It takes about 45 minutes from the airport to the Keisei-Ueno station.
Another option is to take the Narita Express operated by JR East from the airport. It takes about 55 minutes to get to Tokyo station.
From Haneda Airport
There is the Tokyo Monorail line that takes 17 min to get to Hamamatsucho station from the airport. Then, take the JR Yamanote line to Tokyo station or Ueno station.
From Tokyo Station
There are three ways to go to the university from Tokyo station.
- to Ueno station by the JR Yamanote line
- to Ochanomizu station by the JR Chuo line
- to Hongo-san-chome station by the Marunouchi subway line
It takes about 10 minutes to Ueno, about 5 minutes to Ochanomizu, and about 10 minutes to Hongo-san-chome.
